1. Who we are
Marpex Supplies Ltd. ("Marpex", "we") hires out and sells graduation gowns, hoods and caps in Kenya. This policy explains how we handle your personal data when you use this website, contact us or place an order, in line with the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019.
2. What we collect
- Details you give us: your name, phone number, email, delivery address, institution, graduation date and gown size or measurements.
- Order details: items, hire dates, payment confirmations (we do not store card or M-Pesa PINs).
- Messages you send us by WhatsApp, phone, email or the forms on this site.
- Basic technical data from your browser, such as pages visited and the campaign that brought you to the site, collected to keep the site running and understand which adverts work.
3. How we use it
- To take, deliver, collect and support your order.
- To contact you about your booking, return dates or any issue with your gown.
- To keep records required by law, such as tax and accounting records.
- With your consent, to tell you about offers before the next graduation season. You can opt out at any time.
4. Your cart
Items you add to your cart are saved only in your own browser so they are still there when you return. They are not sent to us until you check out.
5. Where your details are kept
When you send an enquiry, quote request or order through this site, the details are stored in our customer records system (Zoho, a cloud CRM) so our team can follow up with you. Zoho processes this data on our behalf and may store it outside Kenya under appropriate safeguards.
6. Who we share it with
We share only what is needed with delivery riders, payment providers and service providers who help us run the business (such as WhatsApp, Zoho and our website host). We do not sell your data.
7. How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as the law requires for tax purposes, and other personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above.
8. Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it where the law allows, and you can object to marketing. Contact us using the details below. You may also complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC).
